Purpose
The 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl gives 4-H members a chance to develop a more complete knowledge of dairy animals and related subjects. This educational opportunity is open to all dairy project members, even those who may not own a dairy project animal! The quiz bowl challenges the 4-H members’ ability to recall knowledge and information about various aspects of the dairy industry including animal knowledge, management, and product knowledge. Questions could be as simple as, “name the milk first fed to newborn calves,” or as difficult and complex as, “the manure from how many cows is required to produce one kilowatt/hour of electricity?”
The 2024 State 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl Contest will be held March 16, 2024, in the Dairy Barn at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe.
