New research titled “No School Alone: How community risks and assets contribute to school and youth success” out of the Area Health Education Center (now the Child and Family Research Unit) shows that the amount and type of adversity experienced in childhood by the adult population of a community has a negative effect on the performance and well-being of the community’s children. The No School Alone report will be presented at Community Risks, Assets, and Adverse Childhood Experiences: Funder Workshop Exploring the Impact on Education Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10:30am in SeaTac, Washington.
