Check out our 2020-2021 videoGOAL: The 4-H Eco-Stewardship Program develops the critical thinking skills necessary for youth to become healthy, productive and knowledgeable members of their communities. It is based on a model that combines experiential education and service learning projects designed to create opportunities for youth engagement as both participants and leaders of the process. The program uses experiential education to provide Chelan and Douglas County youths, with year-round opportunities to engage in meaningful projects that link quality natural resources education and recreational experiences. Projects will support local, state, and federal agencies in achieving maintenance, recreation and monitoring goals in shrub-steppe habitats, riparian lowland valleys, and high alpine lakes and forest in Wenatchee National Forest and publicly owned lands of the North central Washington region.
