Trip Details:

Sailing Trips:San Juan Islands, WA –

  • August 5th-9th,
  • September 13th-15th and
  • September 27th-29th

P1010280 (Medium)We will board ship as the crew of a 52 foot sailing vessel! You will learn all the different stations of being on a sail boat and you will also learn to steer the vessel! In this unique environment we will learn about this special eco-system, make new friends, and build skills of being on the sea!

We will meet at Cornet Bay, WA as we make sure you have the gear you will need. There is no previous knowledge or experience needed. Trips will be 3 to 5 days, depending on time of year and other factors. Each night will be spent tent camping on uninhabited islands, making smores around the campfire and sharing our stories.

Deschutes River, OR – White water rafting: July 8th-12th

P1000152 (Medium)An amazing adventurous white water trip awaits! Travel 40-50 miles down the Deschutes River learning about this remote environment, creating new relationships, practicing river skills and navigating your team safely through class III whitewater!

We will meet at a location next to the Deshcutes River near Mecca, OR. We will spend several nights in tents while we raft down the river through spectacular rapids. There is no previous skill needed, as you will be lead by river guides!

North Cascades, WA – Wilderness Backpacking: August 19th-24th

P1010435 (Medium)Get out and explore the natural wonders of the wilderness areas here in the Cascade Mountain Range by trail and foot! While on this trip you will learn how to cook in the backcountry, care for yourself and the group while in the field for 5 days, and how to use a map.

This trip is an amazing opportunity to get out into the world and see the natural beauty that awaits you! As we learn about the wilderness area we travel through, we will do some service and talk about what stewardship looks like. There are many peaks to view, lakes to hike next to, and streams to cross.

We will meet in Leavenworth to pack gear and food, and we will make sure all participants have proper gear and clothing. We do have equipment if you do not own all items. We will then drive tot he trailhead where we will start our adventure and get to know our awesome group of teens! You will be carrying your own backpack with all the gear and food you will need for the week. We will set off on this grand adventure, into the wilderness.
