MASTER GARDENER PROGRAM — Workshops & Events
To kick off its new seed bank, Washougal Library and the WSU Clark County Extension Master Gardener program are offering four workshops on vegetable gardening. You will learn: seed saving techniques; what is so great about soil; how insects can help in your gardening efforts; the steps to getting your garden started. Classes are free and no registration is required.

Have you wanted to save your own home garden seeds, but didn’t know where or how to start? Learn the basics of selecting and saving seeds from your own home garden.

Soil & Soil Microbes
Millions of organisms in the soil help build structure, and feed and nourish your plants. Learn how to make healthy soil as you prepare your vegetable beds for this season’s planting.

Did you know that ninety-nine percent of all insects in our gardens are beneficial? Learn about our area’s most common ‘good bugs’; how to attract and support them in your garden.

Gardening; Ready Set Go!
Get your garden boots on, and learn the basics about how to start planting in your vegetable garden. Learn what, when, where, and how to get your garden off to a good start.
