CLEAR Leadership

CLEAR is a professional development and school culture change effort requiring professional knowledge and practice to support adaptations to individual staff and building practices over a period of 3-4 years. CLEAR provides an active planning and skills development framework but CLEAR consultants, school leadership, and school teachers and staff share responsibility for the program’s success.

Building leadership encourage voluntary participation by individual staff in CLEAR consultation by scheduling meetings, providing access to teachers and staff, and allowing for opportunities for feedback and planning.

Leadership and staff form a CLEAR team in year one that meets monthly to assist with planning and oversight of the CLEAR program implementation.  This group provides staff oversight in planning aspects of the professional development program and problem solving to assist with overall CLEAR implementation. It is acceptable to incorporate this function into existing building level meetings by mutual consent.

Building leadership engage in a consultation process with CLEAR to review and develop trauma-informed practices that address building policies and leadership practices.
