Professional Development

Below is a brief description of our implementation process.  Please keep in mind CLEAR is not a prescriptive process, nor is it a curriculum.  It is a coaching and consultation process designed to be tailored to each school’s culture and needs.

Year One

Year 1 begins with a foundational training. School staff will develop a rich relationship with their CLEAR consultant during the course of one-hour professional development sessions and two full days a month of observation and consultation in the building. A CLEAR Team will be established and meet monthly with the consultant. Staff may also participate in regional meetings and data sharing.

Year Two

The CLEAR consultant will deliver monthly professional development sessions to build on Year 1 content, and continue to consult with staff two full days a month. The CLEAR Team continues to meet to begin sustainability planning.

Year Three

The CLEAR consultant will deliver monthly professional development sessions and remain in the building for consultation. The CLEAR Team continues to meet with a strong focus on sustainability planning and transition of the CLEAR consultant.
