COVID-19 Information for 4-H

  1. Your club cannot do “face to face” meetings. And if your club is doing virtual meetings….it must be equal and available to all. This means that everyone must be able to do it from their own home and not get together at someone else’s home for those that don’t have good connectivity. If you plan to do virtual meetings…please let me know when they are and what technology you are using at least one week in advance.
  2. All 4-H “face to face” county events/activities/etc. are cancelled at least until further notice.
    1. Cowlitz County Extension office or the Cowlitz County Health department directive may have additional restrictions.
  3. All mandatory requirements such as attendance at club meetings are waived during this time.
  4. Any club fundraisers must be postponed at this time until further notice.
  5. For those members who are doing 4-H/FFA market sale—please be sure to keep abreast in emails that you as a leader are receiving from the Market Sale committee and check the 4-H/FFA Market Sale website that is updated by the Market Sale committee.
  6. If you or your 4-H parents need project materials, they can be accessed via the WSU 4-H publications website which is pubs.extension.wsu.edu. If you or your parents need assistance in downloading these items, please contact Carlee, via phone during her office hours of 9 am to 11:00 pm Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday or email Monday-Friday.
  7. Also, our office can provide one sample copy of leader’s material and member’s materials for parents to have their 4-H members to work on their projects at home. Please request from Carlee, but she will need at least a 5 day lead time or more. The request must be reasonable and align with the priority projects the member is enrolled in.
  8. THE EXTENSION OFFICE STILL REMAINS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

Again, this is an ever evolving situation and this type of expectation is to keep our families and communities safe.

I will be “in and out” of the office and also working from home but accessing my work email. If you need immediate assistance, you can send me a text between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. My cell phone is 360.430.0607. Just be sure to identify yourself on the text…so that I know who it is.
