The Tech Wizards program is an innovative mentoring opportunity with youth occurring in Ferry County. 4-H encourages our youth to take an interest in science education and develop a passion for important issues facing our nation today, while adult volunteers sign up to mentor these youth through the Tech Wizards program. Mentors encourage youth to talk about their experiences and support them by asking questions to learn more about what they are doing.
Our local Tech Wizards program focuses on a variety of activities such as LEGO Robotics, Digital Media, Outdoor Education and many other STEM activities. Through these activities, mentors focus on helping youth learn and practice life skills like communication, decision-making and self-responsibility. The program encourages youth to graduate high school and explore colleges and careers that are focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
