Saving Seeds for Your 2017 Garden
Planning your garden for 2017? You’ll want to learn about saving flower and vegetable seeds now. The next 1st Saturday Workshop presented by the WSU Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties will be held on October 1st in their Demonstration Garden at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma.
You’ll also have the opportunity to help with late-season harvesting of produce, such as shelling beans, potatoes and onions. The harvest will be given to area food banks. The First Saturday class begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts for two hours. There is no charge to attend, and there is no preregistration required. Just dress for gardening work and the weather, bring your gardening gloves and a bag to bring home the seeds that you have saved.
For questions, contact Master Gardener Cindy Burton (cindyaburton@comcast.net).
