Youth Pork Quality Assurance Training Deadline

Tip Hudson has gotten permission to use YPQA for this spring and will implement YQCA for 2019. We will recognize any 4-H kids you train as being QA-certified for fair and will send out a notice to that effect.

1. Youth Quality Care of Animals will replace Youth Pork Quality Assurance for the 2019 4-H program year.
2. We will offer YPQA training in winter/spring 2018 as we have in the past. PQA certifications established by test will be valid based on the standard PQA schedule.
3. Any youth participating in a YQCA training offered by Becky or other certified instructor will be recognized in 2018 as a substitute for PQA.

Trainings at the club meetings will need to be done every year.  Club leaders need to contact the Extension Office to arrange the YPQA trainings with Swine Clubs.  The training every year needs to be completed by April 30th.  To schedule a YPQA training contact Tip Hudson at the Extension Office, 962-7507 or e-mail hudsont@wsu.edu.

Becky Carollo, Kittitas FFA Advisor has gone through training for YQCA (replacing YPQA).  Contact Becky rebecca_carollo@ksd403.org  to see when her next training is at the Kittitas Secondary School.  The limit for sign ups is 40 kids. You must sign up online and pay the $3 fee PRIOR to attending.
