Shooting Sports

Shooting sports aims to teach responsibilty and safety. Members have the opportunity to compete in multiple events to demonstrate precision and accuracy. These events include: Archery (recurve & compund), Air Rifle (precision shooting), .22 Rifle (precision shooting), and Shotgun (trap, skeet, five stand, sporting clays). A few of the objectives for Shooting Sports are:

  • practice safe and responsible use of firearms
  • understand the operations, functions, and fundamentals of firearms
  • understand the principles of wildlife management
  • develop marksmanship and ethical behavior
  • practice safe and responsible use of bows and arrows
  • understand the principles of wildlife management
