2017 Sheep/Goat Pre-show / Weigh-in
The Sheep and Goat pre-show / weigh-in will be held on Sunday, June 11 from 3pm to 7pm at the Klickitat County Fairgrounds. 4-H members who plan to sell a market lamb or goat in the 2017 Klickitat County Fair Market Livestock Sale must be enrolled in 4-H through the 4-H Online (https://wa.4honline.com ) prior to the June 11 weigh-in date. Shearing for lambs will be available. The shearing fee per lamb will be deducted from the market sale check for that youth.
Reminder: Animals acquired outside of Washington should be accompanied by a certificate of veterinary inspection done prior to coming into the state. For complete information, view the WSDA resources page at http://agr.wa.gov/FoodAnimal/AvianHealth/Fairs.aspx.
Be sure to have your completed “2017 Official Market Livestock Pre-Show Entry Form” correctly filled out for each animal being weighed. The form also has the minimum and maximum weights information for the large animal species. The form is available at the Extension office as well as online at http://extension.wsu.edu/klickitat/4h/4-h-recordkeeping/ .
