Grazin’ with Marty Moose is an interactive nutrition curriculum developed by University of Wyoming Extension. Six to seven lessons are available for grade 2 students that focus on the importance of physical activity and eating from all five food groups using MyPlate as a guide.

Lessons consist of the following topics:

  • The five food groups
  • Eat a rainbow of colors
  • Make half your plate fruits and vegetables
  • Proper hand washing
  • Healthy snack choices
  • The importance of drinking water

Four parent newsletters with recipes, activities and shopping and food safety tips will be distributed for students and their families.
