Ag Outreach & Listening Session | Orcas

Have opinions on what the research and education priorities for WSU Extension in San Juan County should be?
Do you have questions or concerns about how regulations may impact your operation?
Want to learn more about new and on-going programs to support agriculture in San Juan County?

Please join WSU Extension and SJC Agricultural Resources Committee at one of three upcoming Agriculture Outreach and Listening Sessions.

Lopez Island: Dec 2nd, 4-6 pm, Lopez Island Library, Lopez Village
Orcas Island: Dec 5th, 4-6 PM, Orcas Fire Hall, Eastbound
San Juan Island: Dec 13th, 4-6 pm, Skagit Valley Community College, Room C

We will provide updates on current programs and exciting new initiatives such as:
On-farm grain, seed and pasture research
Regulations that affect agriculture:  SJC Comprehensive Plan Update
Opportunities for beginning farmers and farmland owners
Local Food Economic Assessment
and more….

In order to better serve San Juan County agriculture we will be asking for your feedback to identify specific priorities within broad topics such as:
Regulation
Production
Marketing
Land
Education and Training

What is important to you?  Your input on these and other topics is critically important. Priorities identified during these sessions will be made publicly available to support program development for all organizations and individuals interested in addressing agricultural issues in San Juan County.
