In 2019, the 3-year Farmers Market Flash project ended due to funding. A product of the project was a toolkit, designed to disseminate best practices and resources available to increase participation of SNAP/EBT at farmers markets.
By promoting the inclusive nature and unique accessibility of locally grown, fresh foods available at the Farmers Market, Farmers Market Flash strove to encourage EBT eligible seniors and families with children to purchase produce at farmers markets in order to improve both social and nutritional health in ways unmatched by other food vendors.
