2021 Washington Small Fruit Conference

Volume 10 Issue 11

When: December 1st – 2nd

Where: https://pheedloop.com/wasmallfruit/site/

We are looking to seeing everyone at the WA Small Fruit Conference in less than a month. There are some BIG changes this year including moving into the Farm Pavilion and Expo buildings at the NW Washington Fairgrounds. This will get us onto some actual concrete floors with built in outlets! This switch will also have a big learning curve so bear with the organizers and we always take suggestions.

We will be offering in-person and virtual event access, just make sure to make your selection during the registration process. Because of travel restrictions, some speakers will be presenting remotely.

We have also shortened the entire event to just two days to accommodate our transition to the new space. Here is a direct link to the schedule for the conference: https://pheedloop.com/wsfc2021/site/schedule/.

Topics Include (more detail located on the website):

  • Spotted Winged Drosophila Management
  • Disease Management in Raspberries and Blueberries
  • New and Emerging Pests
  • Soilborne Disease Management
  • Soil and Fertility Management
  • Weed Management Options for Wild Buckwheat

…and more!

We have received approval for ten WA State pesticide credits this year, but not all sessions will receive some. To determine which sessions are eligible for credits look of the “Washington State Pesticide Credits” button on a session (see below in pink).

One other major change is that the conference has a dedicated smartphone app called “Pheedloop Go”, Please download it in advance of the conference and build your own custom schedule.
