What
The Train the Trainer workshops assist people who conduct pesticide safety training at agricultural establishments. The workshops provide trainers with basic pesticide information, Worker Protection Standard regulations and training tools to deliver effective pesticide safety training to Pesticide Handlers and Fieldworkers as mandated by the state and federal Worker Protection Standard (WPS). Trainers will be qualified to issue WPS worker and handler training verification cards.

Who
The TtT is aimed at agricultural employers, farm managers, supervisors, and trainers who want to provide pesticideĀ safety training to pesticide handlers and agricultural fieldworkers working at farms, forest, nurseries and greenhouses where pesticides are applied.
- Participants should have a pesticide applicatorās license (in any category).
- Or, have previously attended (within three years) a WSDA pesticide handler training.
- Or, have previously attended a WSDA T-t-T workshop and want to take it as a refresher.
Any participant who completes the TtT course and participates as a trainer during the practice training portion of the program may qualify as a WSDA WPS Certified Trainer. According to WPS, a WSDA Certified Trainer is qualified to provide pesticide safety training to agricultural workers and pesticide handlers in Washington State.
Space is limited to 32 participants and the registration cost is $50 per person
