Must have not reached their 21<sup>st <\/sup>birthday before January 1.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>May apply again if previously awarded a scholarship, but preference will go to those who have not received an award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Materials:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Completed <a href=\"#forms\">Application Form<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Typed on single sheets (not back to back) of white paper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two letters of recommendation on WHITE paper;\n<ul>\n<li>One of which must be from an academic advisor or school official on institution letterhead.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The other should be from someone who knows you personally and what you have accomplished.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application packet must be postmarked by March 2, 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--hero\">Awards will be announced by March 31, 2026 and awarded after completion of 1<sup>st<\/sup> quarter or semester of school year in the fall. <strong><em>You must contact the SYCS \u2013 we will not be contacting you. Limit your application to two pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Introduce yourself.
