Today 4-H is everywhere\u2013in cities, suburbs, small towns, and rural communities. In the 21st century, 4-H serves a broad clientele with expanded program using a variety of ways to \u201clearn by doing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image wsu-spacing-after--xlarge\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-extension\/uploads\/sites\/2061\/2019\/07\/4H_Icons_Grouped-396x127.jpg\" alt=\"4-H head, hands, heart, health logo\" class=\"wp-image-5344\" width=\"618\" height=\"200\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why join 4-H?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>4-H provides a safe place for members to grow in knowledge and gain understanding of their projects. Along with this comes self-confidence. Members meet new people and are given opportunities for leadership experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The cost for 4-H enrollment is:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-font-size--medium\">Youth, (ages 8-18) are $35.00 ($25 State fee; $10 county fee).&nbsp;<br>Cloverbuds, (ages 5-7) are $25.&nbsp;<br><br><em>Scholarships are available for youth 8 years or older who need assistance with the <\/em><br><em>enrollment fee. Please ask us for more info.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-after--xxsmall\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I get started?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose one project. Pick a 4-H club with that project, then contact the 4-H leader to determine if they have an opening available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choose a Project<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/4h\/projects\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/4h\/projects\/\">projects to choose from in&nbsp; 4-H.<\/a>&nbsp;Each club has leaders that help the youth with certain project areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We do not have leaders available for all the projects 4-H has to offer. If you, or someone you&nbsp;know is interested in becoming a 4-H leader, please contact the Asotin County 4-H office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choose a 4-H Club<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Asotin County 4-H has clubs located in Clarkston, Asotin and Anatone. Each club offers certain projects. See what 4-H Clubs you may be interested in joining. If there are any openings, please contact the leader of that 4-H Club before enrolling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enrolling in 4-H<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have chosen your projects and have gotten approval from the club leader,&nbsp;you will enroll using the 4-H Online system.
