Spring Garden Day 2018

March 3 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Spring Garden Day is a day-long program of gardening classes for local gardeners.

Keynote speakers:

Willi Galloway is an award winning radio commentator, writer, and former editor at Organic Gardening Magazine. She is the author of Grow Cook Eat, a beautiful book that both inspires and educates, providing practical how-to gardening advice along with tips on harvesting and cooking vegetables. The book will be available to purchase and she will be available for signing.

Doug Rice is a landscape architect who taught garden design at Seattle Community College for over 20 years. He teaches a full design course through the Yakima Arboretum. Garden designers and architects have come a long way to understanding why some designs resonate with the human eye, psyche, and heart. Doug will share his expertise as a landscape architect, his knowledge in the field of environmental psychology, and Asian Feng Shui to show simple principles that can create beautiful designs.
