Green Thumb Garden Tip Series: Propagation of New Plants from Cuttings

July 23, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Learn the basics of propagating new plants from softwood cuttings. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the variables involved in rooting softwood cuttings, when to take cuttings, which plants are easy to start with, and how to care for newly rooted plants.

Presenter Rosalie Preble has been a WSU Master Gardener for 23 years, and has developed her expertise during that time by propagated plants from cuttings and other methods to support the annual Clallam County Master Gardener plant sale and to share with family and friends. Preble will be teaching a follow up webinar, Propagating Rhododendrons from Cuttings, with Tips for other Woody Trees and Shrubs on September 10, 2020.

Join this presentation live via Zoom from noon to 1 pm. Click on THIS highlighted text to join the presentation live.

Green Thumb Garden Tip Series Presentations are held from 12 to 1 pm on the second and fourth Thursdays of most months. Talks are currently only being offered by online streaming, due to current social distancing concerns with COVID-19. Please see instructions for accessing the live stream. Presentations and associated printed materials will be archived on the local articles and archived presentations portion of our website. These events are free, but donations to help support the WSU Clallam County Extension Master Gardener program are appreciated.
