Woodcock Garden Festival

Please join the WSU Clallam County Extension Master Gardeners and Clallam County Solid Waste and Recycling at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden in Sequim for a Fall Garden Festival with popular speakers, information tables, and activities for kids. Free!

The event will take place from 10am to 2pm at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden located at 2711 Woodcock Road, Sequim.

 

 

 

Speakers
10:00 am: Megan Davis, Clallam County Waste Reduction Coordinator, along with Jim Lewis and Al Cairo, will present a composting overview
11:00 am: Elaine Webber will present on mulches
12:00 pm: Jeanette Stehr-Green will present “Fall and Winter Chores in the Berry Patch”
1:00 pm: Bob Cain will present “Fall and Winter Vegetable Gardening”

Information Tables
10:00 am to 12:00 pm: Master Gardener and pruning specialist Keith Dekker will answer questions and talk about his favorite tools
12:00 pm to 2:00 pm: Simple-drip irrigration display and questions about how to get started with simple drip
10:00 am to 2:00 pm: Mason bee display and composting information

Activities for Kids
-Herbie the Bean Seed will tell kids about his lifecycle
-Kids can plant a root viewer to take home
-Rock painting for kids of all ages
