He will discuss amenities and inconveniences in evaluating your own forest including assessing tree and forest health\, and common diseases and pests. \nNorm will also talk about the regulatory environment—what landowners must do to maintain their forests as well as management practices that may be utilized in your forest. “Landowners will become familiar with the most suitable tree species for the foothills area\, identify common problems and potential solutions\, learn about potential management practices to maintain or improve forest health\, and become informed about the forest practice regulations that must be followed\,” Norm said. \nNorm is a professional forester with 50 years of experience in western Washington\, who currently advises private clients on management of their property. He is the owner of NorthStar Forestry LLC\, providing consulting forestry services for clients in Washington.
