DESCRIPTION:Facilitate the Awesome Flyer 2019 \nDo you struggle with getting teens motivated?\nDo you want your work with teens to be impactful?\nAre you looking for knowledge and skills to improve your teen programs? \nThe WSU “Facilitate the Awesome” workshop is designed to prepare adults to successfully guide teen-led projects. Open to any adult working with a group of teens. \nThis half-day session includes 4 modules:\n• Adolescent Development: implications of current research\n• Empowering Teens: motivating teens with positive youth development models\n• Key Elements of Teen Programming: how to support strengths-based programming\n• Creating Safe & Inclusive Programs: decision-making & risk management\nThis training includes experiential activities for different learning styles and group discussion about building life skills and leadership in teens.
