Some plants are common while many are more unusual and strikingly different.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSelecting the right plant for the right place is sometimes rather simple, while other times very complex,\u201d David said. David and Jeff will discuss selecting plants suitable for the northern Olympic Peninsula\u2019s climate and soil and how to take advantage of microclimates and plant challenges to create a lovely four-season garden.<\/p>\n<p>David is an avid gardener and retired Professor and Extension Consumer Horticulture Specialist in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University. David has spent most of his professional career at the county or state level leading Master Gardener Programs. Jeff is a Horticultural Instructor with University of Victoria Continuing Education in British Columbia, Canada.
