Meet in the covered pavilion where you will be given a walking tour guide and our 2024 event schedule. A Master Gardener will meet you at that location and begin the tour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>September Woodcock Walk-About<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Woodcock Demonstration Gardens &#8211; 2711 Woodcock Rd. Sequim<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, September 12th at 10:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This month\u2019s walk will focus on the dahlia garden, small fruits, which are ready for harvest, water conservation and of course, the visitor\u2019s interests. There are over 22 themed gardens to experience. The shade garden is a cool magical place to stroll. The herbs in our culinary and medicinal beds are ready for the kitchen table. The fragrance of herbs and flowers fill the air. The mushroom garden has fruiting bodies ready for production. The vegetable raised beds are supplying our local food bank and educational \u201cDigging Deeper\u201d free classes have been taking place in our pavilion.<\/p>\n<p>After the tour, you will be free to stroll around the gardens and speak with the Master Gardeners who are working to keep this place beautiful for the community\u2019s enjoyment or relax with your picnic lunch at our picnic tables.<\/p>\n<p>The Woodcock Demonstration Garden is a beautiful 2.74-acre site that has been in operation for many years and is open to the public for educational purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Photo caption: taken at Woodcock Gardens by Cathy Wagner<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pack your lunch, put on your sun hat and come take a free educational and relaxing walk with a Master Gardener at Woodcock Demonstration Garden for our September Walk-about.
