Join Master Gardener, Ed Adams,<\/p>\n

on Thursday September 11th at 10:00 am<\/p>\n

for the September 2025 Woodcock Walkabout.<\/p>\n

Woodcock Demonstration Gardens is exploding with vibrant color.\u00a0 The dahlias are fabulous this year. Many thanks to Master Gardener, Ed Adams. who has worked hard on his passion for this favorite flower. The Dahlias will be the major attraction on the tour.\u00a0 Ed will guide you through 22 plus themed gardens where other Master Gardeners are busy as bees working the gardens to promote community enjoyment and education.<\/p>\n

Pack your lunch, put on your sun hat and come take a free educational stroll. Meet in the covered pavilion where you will be given a walking tour guide and the 2025 Event Schedule. Master Gardener Ed Adams will meet you there for the start of the tour.<\/p>\n

This month\u2019s walk will focus on the dahlia garden but will include all the gardens such as the small fruits, which are ready for harvest, water conservation and of course, the visitors\u2019 interests. The shade garden is a nice cool place to stroll.\u00a0 The herbs in the culinary and medicinal beds are ready for the kitchen table. The fragrance of herbs and flowers fill the air.\u00a0 The mushroom garden has fruiting bodies ready for production. The vegetable raised beds are supplying our local food bank and educational \u201cDigging Deeper Saturday\u201d classes have been taking place in the pavilion.<\/p>\n

After the tour, you will be free to stroll around the gardens and speak with the Master Gardeners or relax with your picnic lunch at the picnic tables.<\/p>\n

The Woodcock Demonstration Garden is a beautiful 2.74-acre site that has been in operation since 1987 and is open to the public for educational purposes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
