MASTER GARDENER PROGRAM — MGs in the News
Published: March 1, 2014
Vancouver — Master Gardener volunteers visited Hough Elementary’s Brianna Meucii and Amelia Peachy’s second grade students to present on pollinators – the bees, butterflies, beetles, and other critters essential in the pollination of many of our food crops and other important plants. Volunteers helped students to create wings which the children wore to the June 9 County Councilor’s meeting.
Students accepted a proclamation for Pollinator Week, which urges citizens to work to support and protect pollinator populations and the habitat on which they depend.
