June 23 6:00 PM-8:00 PM \nField Demonstration Day: Saturday\, June 25\, 2022 – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM \nFor online registration visit: https://SAExpo2022.eventbrite.com \nClark County\, WA – WSU Clark County Extension’s Small Acreage Program and the Clark County Public Works Clean Water invite the community to the Sixteenth Annual Small Acreage Expo on the evenings of June 22nd and 23rd\, as well as a field day on Saturday\, June 25th. This multi-day event will offer online workshops\, as well as in-person field demonstrations. \nThis year’s Small Acreage Expo offers a variety of topics including online workshop topics: Healthy Soil; Livestock and Pasture Management\, including Livestock Body Condition Scoring; Regenerative Grazing Practices\, and Weeds Management. On Saturday\, June 25th there will be a Livestock Footing Installation in the morning and Electric Fence Installation in the afternoon at a residence in Battle Ground. Livestock footing can reduce mud and improve the health of your livestock. Electric fencing can be useful for rotational grazing and livestock assisted weed management purposes. There will also be ongoing tours that will highlight land stewardship practices\, such as a 3-bin composting system\, drainage\, and a vegetated buffer zone along Salmon Creek. Come enjoy a catered lunch from Simply Thyme or bring your own\, under a beautiful covered bridge that overlooks Salmon Creek. This gorgeous small acreage offers access to walk a trail along the creek\, pet horses\, and play outdoor volleyball with your family. SUMMARY:Simple & Inexpensive Ways to Propagate Plants; Learn and Serve Workshop - In person
DESCRIPTION:Do you have a favorite plant that you wish you had more of? Many plants can be easily propagated with basic techniques and materials. Join Master Gardener Christine Anderson for an in-person workshop on how to propagate fuchsias\, hydrangeas and many other great perennials and woody plants! June 25 from 10am to noon. \nBring a lawn chair and your work clothes. Participants are asked to provide 45 minutes of service in the East Vancouver demonstration garden following the one-hour workshop. Bring gloves and water and dress for the weather. This event is put on in conjunction with Clark County Public Health – Solid Waste Outreach\, Green Neighbors Program. Space is limited.
