Clark County, Washington has a long and storied agricultural history. Present day agriculture, though not without challenges, is more popular than ever. Backyard gardening, hobby farms, urban chickens, and container gardening are all burgeoning practices in urban and rural communities. Community gardening—at churches, community centers, schools and in assisted living centers is proving to be beneficial for the individuals and families who participate in gardening at them. This site was created through the efforts of people from throughout Clark County—WSU Extension Master Gardener and Growing Groceries programs, Clark County Environmental Services, and Clark County Public Health.
