Clark County, WA – WSU Clark County Extension’s Small Acreage Program and the Clark County Public Works Clean Water invite the community to the Sixteenth Annual Small Acreage Expo on the evenings of June 22nd and 23rd, as well as a field day on Saturday, June 25th. This multi-day event will offer online workshops, as well as in-person field demonstrations.

This year’s Small Acreage Expo offers a variety of topics including online workshop topics: Healthy Soil; Livestock and Pasture Management, including Livestock Body Condition Scoring; Regenerative Grazing Practices, and Weeds Management. On Saturday, June 25th there will be a Livestock Footing Installation in the morning and Electric Fence Installation in the afternoon at a residence in Battle Ground. Livestock footing can reduce mud and improve the health of your livestock. Electric fencing can be useful for rotational grazing and livestock assisted weed management purposes. There will also be ongoing tours that will highlight land stewardship practices, such as a 3-bin composting system, drainage, and a vegetated buffer zone along Salmon Creek. Come enjoy a catered lunch from Simply Thyme or bring your own, under a beautiful covered bridge that overlooks Salmon Creek. This gorgeous small acreage offers access to walk a trail along the creek, pet horses, and play outdoor volleyball with your family. For online registration visit: https://SAExpo2022.eventbrite.com

Pre-registration costs $10-$15 (depending on if you choose to include lunch) for the entire event.  For questions contact terry.koper@wsu.edu.

WSU Extension programs and employment are available to all without discrimination. Persons requiring special accommodations should call WSU Extension Clark County at (564) 397-5729 at least two weeks prior to the event.
