Learn more from a Master Gardener. \nWestern Washington is not conducive to growing stone fruits like peaches and apricots because they suffer from rain-spread diseases. However\, growing them in containers that can be covered during the rainy season solves this problem! This workshop provides directions for successfully growing stone fruits such as peaches\, nectarines and apricots in containers using dwarfing rootstocks. Topics include appropriate containers and soil mixes\, fertilizing\, pruning for container growing and ideas for keeping the trees dry through the winter and spring.
