Our names sound similar and each group provides its own expertise toward the success of Master Gardening in our county.<\/p>\n<p>Read below to learn about what each organization does to further our mutual goals.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\"><strong>Master Gardener Program<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><em>A program of Washington State University.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-7564\" src=\"http:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-extension\/uploads\/sites\/2079\/2015\/12\/WSU-MGP-compare-art.jpg\" alt=\"Master Gardener Program artwork with MG flower logo in background.\" width=\"230\" height=\"125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-extension\/uploads\/sites\/2079\/2015\/12\/WSU-MGP-compare-art.jpg 600w, https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-extension\/uploads\/sites\/2079\/2015\/12\/WSU-MGP-compare-art-396x215.jpg 396w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 230px) 100vw, 230px\" \/><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Purpose:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThe <a href=\"http:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/clark\/mg\/master-gardeners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WSU Master Extension Gardeners program<\/a> trains volunteers to be effective community educators in gardening \u2028and environmental stewardship.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Leadership:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nA full-time staff coordinator reports to WSU Extension faculty and collaborates closely with the Washington State Master Gardener program.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Members:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nAbout 300 trained, certified volunteers.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Programs Include:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master Gardener Volunteer Training<\/li>\n<li>Three Demonstration Gardens in Clark County\n<li>&#8220;Ask a Master Gardener&#8221; Answer Clinic<\/li>\n<li>Community Workshops at the demonstration gardens, in libraries, at garden clubs, and elsewhere<\/li>\n<li>Regular displays at Farmers Markets and other horticulture-related activities<\/li>\n<li>Clark County Fair Exhibit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Why and How to Support the WSU Extension Master Gardener Program:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Options include:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Make <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/clark\/master-gardeners\/support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a gift<\/a> to the WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardener Endowment. A gift here will be invested with other donations. Each year, a portion of the endowment is used for operating funds for the Master Gardener program in our county.<\/li>\n<li> Join or make a gift through the Master Gardener Foundation of Clark County (or both). The Foundation allocates a significant portion of its annual revenue for Clark County Master Gardener program operations. For more information, see below.<\/li>\n<li> Shop at the Master Gardener Foundation&#8217;s Mother&#8217;s Day Plant Sale, as proceeds benefit the Master Gardner Program. Check the MGFCC website for more details beginning around April 1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\"><strong>Master Gardener Foundation of Clark County<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><em>A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-7563\" src=\"http:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-extension\/uploads\/sites\/2079\/2015\/12\/MG-Found-logo-compare-300x185.png\" alt=\"MG Found logo black oval filled with mint green with text and shovel and rake icons.\" width=\"240\" height=\"148\" \/><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Purpose:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mgfcc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Master Gardener Foundation of Clark County (MGFCC)<\/a> provides significant financial and in-kind support to the Master Gardener Program and modest funding for other community horticulture programs in Clark County.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Leadership:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nA nine-member, elected board of directors and an appointed executive administrator manage the Foundation. All of these positions are voluntary and unpaid.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Members:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nDues-paying individuals, families, and businesses.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Programs Include:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing a significant source of annual operating funds for the Master Gardener Program<\/li>\n<li>Mother\u2019s Day Weekend Plant Sale<\/li>\n<li>I-5 Welcome Sign Planting<\/li>\n<li>MGFCC Clothing and Apparel Sales<\/li>\n<li>Modest grants to other community-based educational programs in horticulture<\/li>\n<p><a name=\"Plant Sale 2025\"><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/clark.mastergardenerfoundation.org\/plant-sale\/\"><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #800000\"><strong>Plant Sale Info May 9-11, 2025<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Why Support the Foundation:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThe Master Gardener Foundation makes annual distributions for the Clark County Master Gardener Program. <\/p>\n<p>Current certified Master Gardeners can also volunteer with the Foundation to assist with the annual plant sale, with proceeds benefitting the Clark County Master Gardner program.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Our pages provide links to external sites for the convenience of users.
