Biochar has many benefits as a soil amendment, including: retaining moisture; sequestering carbon; and when combined with nutrients, such as compost, it can offer long-term soil fertility improvements. The biochar burn setup will begin promptly at 8am. When the burn is finished (likely between 11am-2pm) we will begin an hour-long tour of the woodland and learn about best management practices for watershed and small acreage woodland health.
