Items tracked in the University Property Inventory System are listed in Workday as \u201cCapital (depreciable capital asset).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>University-inventoried items have the following characteristics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Cost is $5,000 or more<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Life expectancy exceeds one year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-consumable; the item does not change form with use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, items that are designated as trackable or small and attractive assets from a University-wide perspective must be inventoried in Workday.
