DESCRIPTION:On October 30 at 6:00 pm\, Master Gardener Maria Boelter will talk about putting your garden to bed in the fall. This is the first step to a successful garden the following spring.  Taking time to do the necessary gardening tasks may seem overwhelming\, but when spring comes\, you’ll be glad you did! SUMMARY:Septic System Maintenance
DESCRIPTION:On November 1 at 6:00 pm\, the Cowlitz County Environmental Health Department will discuss about how to maintain and inspect your septic system.  Discussion will include learning how a septic system works\, how to inspect your system to be sure it is working correctly and what you can do to extend the life of your system.  The program sponsored by Washington State University Extension and the Cowlitz County Environmental Health Department will be held for free.  The class\, held at the Cowlitz Training Center\, 1942 First Avenue\, Longview is located just south of the Cowlitz County Courthouse up on the dike between the Cowlitz River and 1st street.  For more information\, contact Gary Fredricks at garyf@wsu.edu or 577-3014 Ext 3.
