EFNEP uses a paraprofessional education model that promotes participants\u2019 access to nutrition and food safety information through in-person, hands-on lessons. EFNEP is structured through a community model, where neighborhood organizations host a class after developing a relationship with an EFNEP paraprofessional and supervising staff.<br><br>The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) is responsible for administering the EFNEP program.
