{"id":519,"date":"2022-06-09T14:11:49","date_gmt":"2022-06-09T21:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/efnep\/?p=519"},"modified":"2024-06-07T13:54:49","modified_gmt":"2024-06-07T20:54:49","slug":"cranberry-pecan-granola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/efnep\/2022\/06\/09\/cranberry-pecan-granola\/","title":{"rendered":"Cranberry Pecan Granola"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-extension\/uploads\/sites\/3037\/2024\/06\/L3-Cranberry-pecan-granola.pdf\">Cranberry Pecan Granola (pdf)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Makes: 16 servings (\u2153 cup per serving)<br>Preparation Time: 10 minutes<br>Cooking Time: 25 to 30 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Nonstick cooking spray<\/li><li>3 cups rolled oats<\/li><li>1 cup chopped pecans<\/li><li>1\u20443 cup maple syrup (or honey or agave syrup) <\/li><li>1\u20444 cup vegetable oil\u00a0<\/li><li>1 tablespoon ground cinnamon<\/li><li>2 teaspoons vanilla extract<\/li><li>1 cup dried cranberries (optional)\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Wash hands with soap and water.<\/li><li>Preheat oven to 325\u00b0F.<\/li><li>Collect, chop, and measure all ingredients before starting to prepare the recipe.<\/li><li>Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray, and set aside.\u00a0<\/li><li>Combine oats and pecans in a large bowl.<\/li><li>In a small sauce pan, combine maple syrup, vegetable oil, and cinnamon. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently until mixture becomes thin.
