Following each session, we asked participants to identify additional trainings they would be interested in. The training most often requested was \u201cUnderstanding Business Laws and Taxes.\u201d As a result, WSU Ferry County Extension and its partners are offering the following training on this Wednesday evening, June 24<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cBusiness Types, Laws, &amp; Taxes\u201d on 6\/24 <\/b>will be presented by WSU Ferry County director, Trevor Lane, and WSU Business Development specialist, Jordan Tampien, who is a licensed attorney, business owner, and realtor. Both presenters have recently spoken at national conferences and are experienced with small business ownership, management, and administration.<\/p>\n<p>Join us at the <b>Republic School Cafeteria, 30306 E Hwy 21, Republic WA 99166, on June 24, 2015 6pm \u2013 8pm.<\/b> There\u2019s no cost to attend. This is done as part of a program to assist the local communities with upcoming changes as closure of the Buckhorn Mine approaches.\u00a0As a community, WSU Ferry County Extension, Tri-County Economic Development District, and Republic Chamber of Commerce are stepping up to continue the trainings and workshops based on community feedback and need.\u00a0In this workshop, the WSU presenters will help attendees:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gain an understanding of which business type is right for you.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in hands on workshops to help you know how taxes might affect the different business types.<\/li>\n<li>Learn what you need to have and know for general business laws.<\/li>\n<li>Have your questions answered by experts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This past winter, all the partners held a series of business\/entrepreneur trainings.
