<\/h2>\nGarfield County Master Gardeners<\/h2>\n
Master Gardener Volunteers serve as human links between WSU research-based horticulture information and the general public, providing residents with knowledge about sound horticultural practices including water conservation and water quality protection, sustainable landscaping, integrated pest management and control of invasive species.\u00a0Adoption of these practices by home gardeners can impact the economy and ecological value of home and public landscapes.\u00a0We work closely with the Asotin County Master Gardeners.<\/em><\/p>\n Our programs provide education and information to the public and include the following:<\/em><\/p>\n Plant clinics are available through our E-clinic until further notice. Please download and fill out the appropriate form on the right side bar and submit to lisbeth.randall@wsu.edu. Include photos that accurately depict the issue at hand and as much detailed information as possible. We are not able to accept any samples at this time.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n During the summer we offer plant clinics from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Extension Office, 757 Main Street, next to the courthouse. We are also occasionally available at other events in the community. Bring your samples in any time to help us diagnose the issue. For more information, please contact Monica at Mbartlow@wsu.edu<\/a>.Please follow the instructions below on preparing samples to bring to the Diagnosis Clinic: During the Spring and Fall the Master Gardeners hold workshops educating the public about various horticultural issues. Watch the horticulture calendar of events and local media for dates. The Asotin and Garfield County Master Gardeners are available to give presentations on various topics.\u00a0They also write articles and fact sheets. The Master Gardener office within the Garfield County Extension office, offers a wide variety of publication, articles and fact sheets available. \nWSU Master Gardener volunteers from Asotin and Garfield Counties form the members of the Foundation. Membership is not required for participation in the Master Gardener Program and there are no fees.\u00a0 Board members vote on foundation actions, serve on committees and assist with fundraising activities.<\/p>\n
\nThe Foundation is governed by a 5-person Board of Directors elected from and by the Foundation membership.<\/p>\n
\nThe current board members were elected during the Nov 2020 meeting and will serve a 2-year term<\/p>\n\n
