Complete and sign all consents, including the <em>Adult Valuable Partnership Agreement<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete and turn in the <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/4h\/4-h-volunteer-application\/\">Washington State University 4-H Youth Development Volunteer Application<\/a>. The application must have the names and contact information for three references (may not be from close relatives and at least two must be from a person over the age of 18).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in an interview with WSU Extension Office faculty, staff, or authorized representative(s).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend a New Volunteer Leader Training. Contact the Extension Office at (509) 766-3181 to inquire about training dates. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wsu-spacing-after--small\">Complete the following online modules:\n<ul>\n<li class=\"wsu-spacing-after--small\">Four Western Regional modules<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wsu-spacing-after--small\">Child Protection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wsu-spacing-after--small\">Protection and Safety of Minors<br>These can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/campus.extension.org\/course\/index.php?categoryid=159\">online<\/a>. The Enrollment Key is GRANT\/ADAMS4H. Submit a copy of the certificates of completion to the Extension Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wsu-spacing-after--small\">Create and maintain a <a href=\"https:\/\/wsu.givepulse.com\/group\/453112\">GivePusle account<\/a> to record volunteer hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wsu-spacing-after--small\">Complete the criminal background check through First Advantage (formerly Sterling Volunteers).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wsu-spacing-after--small\">Any additional requirements that may be set by Washington State University.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-after--small\"><strong>*<\/strong>Some projects require additional training (such as Shooting Sports and Food Preservation).
