Grays Harbor 4-H Council Minutes<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Grays Harbor County 4-H Council invites you to join us for our monthly 4-H Council meeting, generally held at 6:30 pm on the third Thursday of each month. Join the monthly 4-H Council meeting via Zoom<\/a> or at the WSU Extension office in Elma for in person participation.  All 4-H community members are encouraged to attend and hear updates, ask questions and provide public comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

June 18, 2026 Minutes:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Call the meeting to order  & Attendance – 7:11 pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n

  5. Approval of previous meeting minutes \u2013 Previous minutes were approved with a correction of the spelling of Kassi\u2019s name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

Financial Report \u2013 Farralee – Finance report was given from the bank statement of May 1 – 31, 2026.  Checking account balance is $11,097.80 with $613.00 designated as Biosecurity, $3,730.00 for Leadership, $332.64 for Club Start-up and $6,446.16 as general 4-H.  Savings account balance is $4.980.52.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    1. Grocery Outlet outreach and updates RE Mother\u2019s Day Fundraiser Event – Great community engagement and Grocery Outlet would love to do this in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      1. Horse Council \u2013  Pre Fair will be June 27-28.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Camp \u2013 Registration is closed.  A few camper fees are still coming in.  Working on cabin placement\/rooming requests.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n

                        1. Review Constitution & Bylaws for updating RE Schedule of Executive Board Meetings, etc. – Defer to a future meeting to allow more review and discussion time? <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n

                          1. With the Pullorum Typhoid testing required of birds 90 days prior to fair and the cost associated with the testing,  Cindy made a motion to have the 4-H Council cover $10 per bird, per member, up to 6 birds, using the Biosecurity funds to cover testing costs.  Motion was seconded by Kassi.  After the Superintendents meeting, Mary spoke with Dan regarding the testing cost issue and Dan said WSU could cover an additional $1,000 if needed.  The superintendent, at their discretion, can choose to have all the costs covered for a member to get their bird tested.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
