The 2017 Conference is a one-day event held simultaneously in 40 locations throughout Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. In 2016, over 600 women at 27 locations attended the Conference and you are invited to be one of the Women in Agriculture who attends this year!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/extension\/uploads\/sites\/77\/2017\/11\/2017-Agenda.pdf\">2017 Agenda<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/extension\/uploads\/sites\/77\/2017\/11\/2017-WIA-Registration-Form.pdf\">2017-WIA-Registration-Form<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/womeninag.wsu.edu\/\">Online Registration<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Cost: $25 by November 5, $30 after, student registration and scholarships available<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>Keynote Speakers<\/h5>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-extension\/uploads\/sites\/2062\/2017\/11\/DirectorAlexisTaylor-Wilco-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-4445\" \/><span style=\"color: #003399\"><br \/>\n<strong>Alexis Taylor \u2013 Oregon Department of Agriculture Director<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>When employed by the USDA, Alexis oversaw the Agriculture Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services program.  Under her leadership, the Women in Ag Initiative become the driving force in the USDA\u2019s mission to support the growing and diverse next-generation of farmers and ranchers.<\/p>\n<p>Alexis will challenge participants to strengthen their leadership skills, become more involved with long-time farmers and inspire new farmers.   She encourages women farmers who are phasing out of their agricultural roles to support and mentor the next generation with their experience.<\/p>\n<p>Alexis grew up on a farm in Iowa, which has been under her family\u2019s ownership for more than 150 years.<\/p>\n<p>Alexis fully supports women and their roles in agriculture!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/extension\/uploads\/sites\/77\/2017\/11\/Anne-Schwartz3-e1506614094896-225x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4444\" \/><span style=\"color: #003399\"><strong>Anne Schwartz \u2013 Owner of Blue Heron Farm in the Skagit Valley in western Washington<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Anne is a former Tilth Producers of Washington president and has assumed a prominent role in sustainable agriculture.
