CE Presentation
Fight Climate Change with Eco-Gardening
Tobey Nelson

Tobey will discuss the ways that any gardener can help make a positive impact to help the fight against climate change by employing eco-friendly garden approaches. Join us for an inspiring session to learn all about how you can make wise gardening choices for a more climate-resilient garden.

Tobey Nelson is an official plant-a-holic. The seed of her obsession germinated with a BS in Landscape Horticulture from Michigan State University circa 1993, and she is a Certified Professional Horticulturist. Tobey’s career path has included garden maintenance, design & installation; floral design; botanical art & couture. Tobey is the buyer and educational director for Venture Out Nursery and also has her own business called Tobey Nelson Events + Design. Her mission includes environmentally responsible approaches to both landscaping and to floral design, such as organic and drought-tolerant gardening, supporting local farmers, and using zero- and low-waste design techniques. She loves sharing her knowledge with others. Her loose, naturalistic style is the result of a life-long friendship with plants.

WSU Extension programs and employment are available to all without discrimination. Evidence of non-compliance may be reported through your local Extension office or to the WSU Center for Human Rights.
