DESCRIPTION:Aquaponics — a farming system that combines fish raising and hydroponics — has been used in a variety of ways dating back to ancient civilizations. Lee Bebout\, a Master Gardener with a doctorate in microbial ecology and a 20-plus-year background at NASA studying microbes\, will share the basic “how to” components of aquaponics system\, benefits and cost considerations as well as the broad diversity in approaches. \nThis presentation will be open to the public.
