WSU Jefferson County Extension is excited to offer an in-person workshop in Port Townsend as a companion to the free online rain garden training program now available for homeowners and non-professionals offered by the Washington Stormwater Center (https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/ypxd37pv<\/a>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This in-person workshop is on Thursday, May 23rd<\/sup> from 10 am \u2013 12:30 at the Cotton Building and in the field rain gardens located in downtown Port Townsend. \u00a0\u00a0The workshop includes a presentation by a local landscape designer on rain garden care and maintenance.\u00a0 Following the presentation, the class will break into teams for a hands-on activity structured to get you familiar with anatomy of a rain garden and the metrics for assessing rain garden health.<\/p>\n
