Food $ense at Soos Creek Health Fair

Posted by cahnrs.webteam | April 14, 2015

Food $ense Educators joined Soos Creek Elementary in the Kent School District with a school-wide Health Fair during two days in March.  Instead of participating in their usual PE class, students enjoyed activities provided by various community partners.

Food $ense Educators played a MyPlate relay game with students that was adapted for all grade levels.  Learning about food groups and MyPlate helps students remember to eat healthfully.  This is the second year that PE teacher Mark Friden has organized this successful event.  Way to go Soos Creek Elementary!

Candida Goza, Food $ense Educator, helps students remember there are 5 food groups in MyPlate.
