{"id":5403,"date":"2026-01-14T13:50:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T21:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/king\/?page_id=5403"},"modified":"2026-01-14T13:50:00","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T21:50:00","slug":"november-minutes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/king\/november-minutes","title":{"rendered":"November Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Nov 6, 2025\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a07:06 meeting started, Sue called meeting to order.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Members Present<\/strong>: Sue Adams, Nancy Baskett, Floy Ziegler, Alyssa Bowers, Deb Chickadel, Jim Olsen, Caroline Vandio, Paige Andersen.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meeting Minutes:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floy presented corrections to the minutes; added members and added the awards presented.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A motion was made by Floy to approve these corrected meeting minutes. Seconded by Jim, runs unopposed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financial report<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floy presented the financial report. Under budget for expenses, over budget for revenue. $18,792.40 in available funds for the association in addition to the remaining budgeted yearly $14,408.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was elected not to motion for the approval of the financial report or budget.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Staff reports<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nancy Baskett presented the staff reports. Virtual new leaders training is 2 nights in December 2025. KYG is being run by Sue Adams; it has been moved to the Evergreen State College Campus; the event is capped at 80 people.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New State 4-H Direction: Presented by Alyssa. The new Director is Kayla Wells-Yokium\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New WSU president, survey to be filled out by the stakeholders.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Business: <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tractor supply is starting paper clovers from November 28th to December 14<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floy presented her sewing 4-H club idea and outcome; they will be meeting next December 6<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nancy mentioned the National Livestock judging event; we are reaching out to the youth (Loreli) to fill out a grant application.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Youth is invited to a national shooting sports event; they will be filling out a grant application.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Old Business:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Super Saturday:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>80-90 students enrolled, and the building has been touring. Snacks for the volunteers like cheese sticks, coffee, tea, water, and maybe a small snack. Volunteers are able to bake and donate things. We need volunteers to do registrations and setup\/teardown. Game setup. Plan to arrive at 8am. Ensure Volunteers watch youth (at least 2).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Upcoming events and trainings:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alyssa presented the idea of the Fair Superintendent meeting in conjunction with our December association meeting.
