Minutes from the last meeting sent out in email- any discussion\/ changes needed? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secretary report -currently don\u2019t have one <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Treasurer report-Floy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Not much activity at all this last month <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 2025-2026 Budget & Actual was printed off\n
      \n
    • Ask that the minutes show the balances of the meeting time\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • A letter was sent to the King-Pierce Farm Bureau asking for funding- We were denied\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • We need to work on making our finances more clear for those who may want to review it.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Requested there be a printed treasurers report with further detail.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The budget may need to be broken down in more detail. We currently have multiple line items that are for different clubs and categories.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • We need to reevaluate how we present our finances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • $43,000 is not all of the Association money;\n
        \n
      • Unbudgeted Funds of $14,000 is normal to carry over for the year <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • $15,600 is what the Association is budgeted <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Projects have a large amount of money in it <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Judges training income $144.35\n

        • Family Living <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Expenses $1,324 in ribbons <\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Post Secondary Scholarship  $1800 <\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • $1200 outstanding checks from scholarships that have not been cashed from the ones that were just issues last month .\n

          • $600 each <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • 4-H Fair Support -> no expenses yet for Judges, last year overall for judges was $1600 -> currently there is $3,045.00 left in the budget\n

            • Spent money for ribbons <\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Postage for fair checks <\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • ~ $400 for Rosettes <\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Superintendents can get $50 + judges fees <\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • In the past we have paid for Fair Entry $750 for Fair Entry. Nancy believes that Alyssa paid for it but not sure where <\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • In the past photo stands have been paid for (infrastructure that needs to be changed out)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • $120-$150 <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Statment that the organization is mismanaging funds and that there needs to be a better way to budget. Is stating that this is very fishy.\n

              • President mentioned that feedback is welcome and would like to come up with better record keeping.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                Staff Report <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                  \n
                • August 4th to 8th in the office 9-12 age group Becoming a scientist theme.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • $50 and will offer fee waivers as well<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Kickoff Meeting\u00a0October 8th at Meridian Grange<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  Old business<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                  Agriventure Event:\u00a0<\/strong>Dinner with the Farmer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    \n
                  • Melinda and her kids were there, it was in the back corner and no one really went into the back corner. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Renee had too many volunteers so 4-H wasn\u2019t really needed <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • 2 different 4-H Booths <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • There was a STEM club as well <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • 4-H members were not even thanked <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                    4th & 5th Graders <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      \n
                    • The stations were amazing had kids from all over Enumclaw School District, Private School<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                      By-laws- tabled to summer but to be finished before start of new 4-H year 2026-2027<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                        \n
                      • We will be doing these in August and be presented <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Notification 10 days prior to October meeting <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Will be doing the voting at the kickoff Meeting <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Need to get a committee set <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • The main issue was voting and changing some things in the Constitution and By-Laws and seeing what needs to be at the Constitution and the By-Law Money <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                        Grants and fundraising<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                        • This is tabled for right now Susan will continue working on it\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                          New Business<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                          Cook shack update<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          • Got a domestic refrigerator and will make it work <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • Potentially add a lock to the refrigerator <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • Need to take inventory of all the items that belong to 4-H in <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • Hot Dog Roller? -> should we eventually get one that would be available. Floy mentioned that this <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                            House & Hazel do good Wednesdays<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                              \n
                            • Do Good Wednesday. Have 4-H come in and do presentations and give us part of the proceeds. They want to do it later in the summer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                              Fall 4-H event to promote clubs end of September (after state fair)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                              • Clubs come and set-up booths , tabling event <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                              • At the Fairgrounds <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                              • Potentially make it free or super cheap at the Expo Center. Melynda has already been in contact with Expo <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                              • In August or 1st week of October <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                              • Can have petting tables, have the kids do the demonstration <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                              • Would like to do a Seattle area event <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                              • We can do a 4-H Club\/Project thing here at the Office <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                              • Used to do a Open House type event for people <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                                    • Still life drop off is Saturday the 11th 9am-3pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                    • Superintendent meeting June 30th at 6pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                    • Open class is having an apple pie contest for the 250th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
